Thorn Desjean

Thorn Desjean is an exuberant and lively fifteen year old teen age boy. He currently lives on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Thorn likes sea shells and star fish, well; basically anything that has to do with the beach. He also has tastes for objects that are shinny as well as sparkly things. He attends a private school on the island were he takes classes and majors in music.

He is a kind, good hearted boy. He enjoys all tastes of music and fancies going to the ballet and the movie house. I have known of Thorn for four years now. I remember the first day I found him. I was walking in a park relatively close to each of our homes. I was writing poetry and then I noticed this blinding, glow walking along the beach. It was Thorn.

The devotion of my life has been to getting up the courage to meet this kind, gentle and soft young man. Some days, I wonder to myself, is life imitating Thorn; or - is Thorn imitating life. Then I chuckle to my, and realize that I may be getting ahead of reality. I don?t even know this extravagantly, fragile creature who wonders the alone everyday. As he consumes and absorbs all the beauty of this world.

Thorn resembles something so far away from any of our realities, we can do nothing but pine for it and wish that it could happen to us. It is as if we we're scared little rabbits trapped in a cage with a fresh piece of meat right outside. When I see him walking, he just appears so warm and cuddly. I want t run up and wrap my arms around his little, frail body and feel the warmth that emenates from his body and soul. Then absorb his beauty in waves. That little boy just can't understand.
